Fred Isaac is an independent scholar in the San Francisco Bay Area.  He received his B.A. in History from Allegheny College, an M.L.S. from the University of Pittsburgh, and an M.A. from California State University, Hayward.  He served as a librarian in several college, university and special libraries.

As a member of the Popular Culture Association since 1981, he has presented in several Areas, including Detective & Mystery Fiction, Jewish Studies, and The Age of Theodore Roosevelt.  He has served on the PCA Board and has been a member of the Russel B. Nye Award Committee.
