Lincoln Geraghty is lecturer in Film Studies with a Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Nottingham. His thesis focused on Star Trek fans and American culture, and his other areas of interest include British & American popular television, toys in popular culture and science fiction film. His work has been published in the European Journal of American Culture, Extrapolation, US Studies Online, The Journal of Popular Culture, Literature/Film Quarterly, Refractory: A Journal of Entertainment Media, Scope: An On-line Journal of Film Studies and Reconstruction.


 As well being on the editorial board for the JPC, he has served as the book review editor for Scope and is currently an editorial advisor for Atlantis: A Journal of the Spanish Association for Anglo-American Studies and an affiliate editor for the online journal Reconstruction: Studies in Contemporary Culture. He is currently working on three books: the first, Living with Star Trek: American Culture and Star Trek Fandom, is forthcoming with I.B. Tauris (2006); the second is an edited collection entitled The Star Trek Effect: The Cultural Reception and Interpretation of a Franchise Phenomenon; and the third is a collection entitled Generic Canons: Genre, History, Memory, co-edited with Mark Jancovich.
