Ken Dvorak received his Ph.D. in American Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio. He has contributed book reviews to the Journal of Popular Culture and the Journal of American Culture, and his reviews have appeared in the Journal of Film & History and Quarterly Review of Film and Video. With his co-author, Julie Anne Taddeo (University of Maryland – College Park) they recently published Reality Television as History (University of Kentucky Press, 2010).

Ken is currently Secretary/Treasurer of the SWTX PCA/ACA having served the national organization in many capacities including moderator of H-PCA/ACA; webmaster for H-PCA/ACA, and Film & History an Interdisciplinary Journal of Film and Television Studies. Currently, Ken is the Director of Distance Learning for Northern New Mexico College, Espanola, New Mexico.
