MSU Salsa Club, founded in 2006 by a coalition of students and the Office for Cultural and Academic Transitions, is a student run organization that strives to spread a love of social Latin dancing in a non-competitive social atmosphere. All are welcome free of charge to the weekly lessons, regardless of skill level, and the leadership strives to challenge, inspire, and instruct the students with every lesson.
In 2012, with a significant increase in attendance, the salsa club established its first executive board
under the direction of Andrew Gardner, and saw a significant increase in events, from the 2nd Annual
Night of Latin Love Valentine's Ball, and 1st Annual Masquerade, as well as repeat performances at
Latin Xplosion and "Take the Stage" from Residence Life.
Our MissionWe love to dance. We love people. We want to spread the joy we receive through this particular genre of dance with others while teaching each other, building friendships, and most importantly having fun doing it.
Come Dance with Us
We hope to see you all out on the dance floor soon.
