The Michigan State University Karate Club, founded in 1962, is one of the oldest martial arts clubs in the Midwest. The club teaches Pukang Tang Soo Do (Northern Diamond Chinese Fist Way), a Korean style of the martial arts. Tang Soo Do emphasizes both punching and kicking skills. The goal is to master both the body and the mind to allow the student to react with the best technique for the situation.

Club Hours and Location

Classes for beginners start the first week of the semester but new students are welcome at any time. Anyone who has had previous martial arts training can join our Intermediate/Advanced classes.The MSU Karate Club meets in the Intramural West Building on Campus.

Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30–8:00pm (summer hours: 6:00–7:30pm)

INFORMAL WORKOUTS

Friday, 5:30–7:00pm
