- Haiti: Justinian Hospital & Soaring de Pister Clinic
In October 2011, a group of osteopathic physicians and medical personnel from MSU treated over 700 patients and delivered more than $10,000 in donated supplies during a four-day trip to the Soaring de Pister Clinic in northern Haiti. Sponsored and organized by IIH, the mission was made possible via funds donated by MSU's Caribbean Student Association.
In March 2011, Lansing's Sparrow Hospital and GreenStone, a rural lender based in East Lansing, shared the $12,000 cost of a Cummins 150 kilowatt diesel-powered generator with help from fourth graders at Explorer Elementary School, who raised and donated $1,500. MSU added a $2,000 donation from IIH and the Caribbean Student Association to help ship the 1.5-ton generator from Lansing to Justinian Hospital in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. This generator had the capacity to power the entire Justinian Hospital.
- Mexico: Health Services of the Yucatán & Hospital O'Horán
In 2011, Dr. Alvaro Augusto Quijano Vivas, Secretary of Health and Director of Health Services of the Yucatán, gave the necessary governmental permits that authorized doctors of the American Osteopathic Association the same rights and privileges as doctors and surgeons of other schools of medicine in the state of Yucatán. These permits have forged an intense and growing relationship with MSU/COM/IIH and the State of Yucatán.
An exciting global health development project underway is a new MSU Community Clinic in the Yucatán, Merida, Mexico. This clinic is officially housed under the COM/MSU umbrella.
- United States: Project C.U.R.E.
IIH is working cooperatively with Project C.U.R.E., a non-profit organization, to help funnel donated medical supplies and equipment to underserved regions of the world by paying the cost of shipping and disseminating donated items.
- Germany: Rheinisch-Wetfäliosche Technische Hochschule Aachen Medical Faculty
In June 2011, IIH finalized a general agreement for academic cooperation with Rheinisch-Wetfäliosche Technische Hochschule Aachen Medical Faculty in Aachen, Germany. This agreement will foster international academic cooperation, including the exchange of research, faculty, research scholars, and students.
- South Korea: Jaseng Hospital of Korean Eastern Medicine
IIH has established a formal agreement with Jaseng Hospital of Korean Eastern Medicine that will foster international academic cooperation, including the exchange of research, faculty, and research scholars in osteopathic and Korean traditional medicine.
- Russia: Pavlov State Medical University
IIH and Pavlov State Medical University in St. Petersburg, Russia are actively cooperating on research resource projects. Dr. Nassiri led a group of 16 COM/CHM medical students and nursing students on an OST 590 Cultural and Hospital Observation Study Abroad Program.
- Egypt: Mansoura University
A general agreement of cooperation between IIH and Mansoura University in Mansoura, Egypt. Dr. Nassiri led a group of COM/CHM medical students on an Clinical and Cultural Competency OST 590 Study Abroad Program in August, 2010.
- Dominican Republic: Instituto Dominicano de Estudio Virologicos Clinic
A general agreement for Academic Cooperation between IIH and Instituto Dominicano de Estudio Virologicos HIV/AIDS Clinic in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
- Brazil: Federal University of Para Institute of Tropical Medicine at Barros Barreto Teaching Hospital
- Kenya: Chogoria Hospital
