                    Jim Bingen, Political Science, PhD, UCLA, 1983, is a Professor of Community, Food and Agriculture in the multidisciplinary Department of Community, Agriculture, Recreation and Resource Studies (CARRS), College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) at Michigan State University. He is affiliated with the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station (MAES) and he is a core faculty member of the the Institute for Food & Agricultural Standards as well as the MSU African Studies Center.
