I completed my Ph.D. in the Second Language Studies (SLS) program at Michigan State University in summer 2011. My dissertation is entitled L2 Gender Facilitation and Inhibition in Spoken Word Recognition. I currently have a post doc position in the Testing Office of the English Language Center at Michigan State. I have an MA in TESOL and ten years of language teaching experience at the university level (EFL, ESL, and Italian).

My research interests include:

  • Grammatical gender acquisition
  • Facilitation and inhibition in spoken word recognition
  • Eye-tracking and gender agreement marking
  • L2 syntactic priming
  • Working memory, inhibition, and interaction
  • Dialect/minority language preservation
