COMPUTERS and MUSIC at M.S.U.

FACILITIES:
DIGITAL SYNTHESIS STUDIO

This studio is the advanced level site of two related kinds of research: scientific research related to the perception and cognition of acoustic events, particularly dynamically changing acoustic events, and, compositional research related to the use of the computer as an assistant in the decision-making process of composition. The workstation supports standard digital audio synthesis programs. It is used primarily by faculty and doctoral students in composition and theory and graduate level computer-science and engineering students working on programming projects related to music.
