GH2HG Donates to Help Syrian Refugees

Generate Help 2 Heal Generations (GH2HG) donated medical/hospital supplies and medications through IIH to the Michigan Chapter of the American-Syrian Medical Association. The supplies will be delivered by the Michigan Chapter to aid Syrian refugees in camps along the Turkish-Syrian border.

Dr. Reza Nassiri, director of IIH, attended the GRF-OneHealth Summit in Davos, Switzerland. Organized through the support of the World Health Organization, the OneHealth Summit was designed to be an advocate of cross-sectoral and cross-disciplinary interactions. Some conference highlights included multidisciplinary capacity building on food security, zoonotic infections, public health issues, and environmental health.

Michigan State University medical students and course leader Dr. David MacIntosh spent six weeks at PCEA Chogoria Hospital in Kenya earlier this year studying healthcare delivery and developing their international medical knowledge.
