This is an indian sweet - it tastes
really good. Most of the ingredient, if not in local
grocery store, can be found in Indian grocery store.
However, I haven't made one yet. The recipe is from
my friend, Sreekumar.
Ingredient
- 1 cup sooji (white small round granules)
- 1 cup sugar
- 20 raisins
- cashew nuts
- 50 g ghee
- 1.5 cups water
- cardamom powder (optional)
- food color
Procedure
- Slightly fry the sooji to make it hot. Remove from
the heat
- Add 1.5 cups of water, sugar, and food color in a pot.
Bring to boil
- Add sooji to the pot and stir until it becomes semi solid
- Fry cashewnuts/raisin in a pan with a little bit of ghee.
- Add fried cashew/raisin in the pot. Add he rest
of the ghee. Stir for 5 min.
- Coat a plate with ghee. Pour the mixture on to the
plate. Spread evenly and cut into small square.
Add cardamom on top, if desired.
