About Research Awards

When faculty members submit proposals to funding agencies, they indicate on the Contract and Grant Administration (CGA) transmittal form the “Primary Nature of Project.” CGA uses that information to organize reports to the MSU Board of Trustees (BOT) and track awards.

The tables above show the number and amount of research awards presented to the BOT for acceptance at the February 22 and April 18 meetings. Other proposals are accepted by the Board but not included in this listing. Rounding to whole dollars may result in apparent errors in dollar totals and percentages.

Details about recipients, sponsors, and amounts of these research awards are listed in Research News in response to requests for this information. Even more detail about these grants is available on the CGA Web site where the database of proposals submitted since 1991 is available to MSU faculty and staff by clicking on “Reference Information.”
