following year I had an idea. Plaza Suite. "Visitors from Mamaroneck" in
particular achieved new directions for me: dealing with serious subject matter, and
treating it with humor and compassion. I was not yet ready to tackle a full length play in
this vein, but this one acter was a good beginning.
