Come Blow Your Horn
published: Samuel French, 1961. premiered: Brooks Atkinson Theatre, New York City, 1961

Come Blow Your Horn, for me, in the time it was written, seemed like a monumental effort. Today, it seems like the crude markings in a cave by the first prehistoric chronicler. Still, it was an important step for me. The theater and I discovered each other. I was in love, and she would one day be mine, no matter how many rewrites it took. It took a lot.
