God's Favorite
published: Random House, 1975 premiered: Eugene O'Neill Theatre, New York City, 1974
Sad to say, God's Favorite was not [a good play]. Not because of it' subject matter, a contemporary version through this play wright's oblique viewpoint of the Book of Job, but because it was simply not done skillfully enough. When you tackle God, you'd better be up for it.
