Rating: 6.25/10
From the very
entertaining videos, to the humorous lyrics, you can't take this
album very seriously. It is very good though. It is upbeat,
happy, fun to listen to, but in order to get the most out of this
album you have to be into ska. Reel Big Fish is 3 times the 'ska'
band that No Doubt, now, is and you will probably realize that
after listening to tracks like "241" and "Suburban
Rhythm".
Even though the band is insanely funny, the lyrics
still make sense. You can't help but laugh while listening to "Say
'Ten'", with lyrics like: "How can I sleep
when carrots are bleeding, plants are screaming, & tomatoes
cry." But songs like "Skatanic" are more like
Ska-Core.
Reel Big Fish keep
the silly, fun, ska style throught the whole album. If you are
into ska I reccommend that you buy this album, go home, crank up
the volume, and skank your heart out.
