Ixnay On The Hombre - Offspring
Rating: 5/10

By the time I bought this album, there were already several singles so I knew what I was buying. The songs keep a rather constant, upbeat tune through-out most of the album. It isn't very experimental but doesn't make you have to guess what the next song will sound like.

This album starts out with the rather interesting "Disclaimer", which is funny the first time but you end up skipping over it everyother time. And half way through the album there is the cheesy little "Intermission", which has the same effect as the disclaimer, just a bit less annnoying. Most of the songs have the same punkish offspring tune (like "all i want") but other songs are more mellow, but still rockish. (like "gone away").

This album is the direct opposite of put-you-to-sleep-elevator music. There are no slow, little boring ballads. You'll be jumping through the whole thing.
