Lughead is a great
local band. I had a chance to see them live and got their record
soon after. It was definitely worth it. This is their first album
since they've been signed to Ignition Records. The album itself
has a slower beat, as a whole, than what I'm used to. Some of
songs are catchy and just make you want to sing along but others
are just sad and mellow. "You're Still Around" is a great
acoustic tune which sounds very different from the rest of the
album. This cd takes some getting used to. When I first heard it,
i didn't really like it, but now i think it's great. "Whatever
Makes You Happy" and "Closet Door" have a more rockish
beat to them but they still have a great sound.
This album is just practically perfect. It's not overproduced, to
experimental, or even to diverse. It is just a great album. If
you just feel like relaxing, mellowing out, or just jumping arond
this album will make you do all three.
