Rating: 6/10
This album is quite mellow. There are some hard chords, and a few heavy guitars
but it is mainly soft, pop-rock. We'll Always Have Ohio is
Little John's second album. I didn't get a chance to hear their
first one but I don't think it would be disappointment. For a trio,
their sound is quite original. I don't think that this album is
for everyone, though. There isn't anything too different about
the lyrics, just about life and love. I think the group might
have a little fetish with places. For example, the album title,
the song "San Francisco" and "Mexico". The harmony
is great, too. This album sort of sound like a soundtrack. You
can imagine these songs in a movie.
Some songs are
more boring than others but all are kind of upbeat with a strange
background. They made a very good usage out of non-common
instruments. Overall, this album wasn't too terrible. I'd
recommend you at least checking them out. It's worth a try.
