That's What Love Songs Often Do - Fig Dish
Rating: 8/10

I had never heard of this band before, so I decided to check them out. It's not bad, really. Let's just say that it could be worse. Most of the tunes are really catchy.

The music is very diverse. A song could start out really fast and rock-ish and end slow, almost like a ballad. Interesting little guitar solos and riffs keeps the creative flow in the music. Most of this album has more of a rock sound to it. The lead singer's voice sounds very good with the music.

The lyrics are descriptive and creative. They are filled with emotion and life experiences. There is nothing too original about them. Based on the title, most of the lyrics refer to love. Like in the song "Chew Toy", "I tried to get obsessed but i can't even get upset". The songs themselves are about love, lovesickness, and life in general. They are filled with creativity and diversity. Overall, it's a good album. Even if you've never heard of them, they're worth checking out.
