So Much For The Afterglow - Everclear
Rating: 6/10

Mellow is the general tempo for most everclear songs. And continuing the tradition of having the first single not represent the album is "Everything to Everyone," which contains the averaged tempo for the record. Art Alexakis also continues the tradition of biographical-personal lyrics as exemplified by "Why I Don't Believe in God" and "Father Of Mine" Everclear seems to be matured on this album, right up to a tad experimentative techniques. Pop-melodies and catchy rhythms couldn't be a more descriptive term for this album. Some songs still have the heavy, distorted guitars but most are just soft and melodic. I would consider their sound as pretty, yet heavy. Everclear has a very diverse sound. A nice mix between their first two albums, this one is a little bit poppier, but no worse.
