The Cunninghams
are a great rock band. This album is delightfully
entertaining. It has some very powerful guitar riffs, but also
very melodic vocals. Of course almost of the songs have the basic
verse-chorus-verse-bridge-chorus structure, they're still pretty
good.
Even though this
band hasn't completely hit it big it has at least made one major
label record and, since the dismissing of their lead singer, has
already encountered problems that many bands break up over.
This is one of those albums that you can listen to several times in a
row and not really get sick of it. The intermission isn't very
original, but soothing. This album isn't very repetitive
or experimental. It is perfect for a new album by a new band. The
first hit, "Bottle Rockets", is no different than the rest
of the album. There is no decieving the Cunninghams sound, it's
pure fun.
