The Beacon Street Collection - No Doubt
Rating: 8/10

I guess that this album is more of what No Doubt is supposed to sound like. It is more ska, less pop. The whole album itself has a cool, melodic beat. Kind of a ska/swing style to it.

This album has a nice song arrangement, slow to fast. It keeps you awake. Like, the song "Snakes". Its a really good, but different type of song. Its melodic but still a bit rockish. "That's Just Me" has a regular old No Doubt style. It isn't experimental but still sounds good. Actually, the whole album itself isn't very experimental, but so what? There still is enough change to make the cd nice to listen to without getting annoying and repeptative. Another good thing about this album is that No Doubt wasn't a very publicized band when they made this album, so it wasn't made under pressure. Just a not-well known band making good music for their true-blue fans.
