I personally, liked this album better than their second one, Razor
Blade Suitcase. Bush didn't have to work under the pressure
of fans, and press screaming down their throats. This record
doesn't seem as rushed as their second one. They spent more
time on the music, lyrics, and trying to get everything to sound
right where in Razor Blade Suitcase.
The first single, "Machine Head", was a good debut song. The interesting video, and the opportunity to be on the Fear soundtrack helped the publicity. Any top-40-rock fan will adore this one.
Best Aspect: There were some mellow-rock songs that split up
the album evenly. Worst Aspect: Some of the harder
rock songs sounded a bit the same. Yay: X-Girlfriend, Machine Head, Little
Things, Testosterone, Nay: Come Down, Alien, Swim The hits: Come Down, Glycerine, EverythingZen, Little Things, Machine Head Similar: Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters. Style: Grunge/Rock Special Notes: The lyrics are included in the cd booklet.
