nosmiles's Music Page / About The Site
Creation
Created on Geocities early in 1997, nosmiles's Music Page has grown tremendously. In content, visitors, and size. I, leslie, have been solely working on this site since it started. I have been trying my best to keep everyone happy, while sticking to the goals of the site.

Goals
These goals are to make a user-friendly website which is music-based. To keep it rather up-to-date, or at least truthfully informative, while sticking to a rock themed format.
The genres included in this website are punk, rock, ska, alternative, indie, metal, hard-core, death-metal, rock-rap, contemporary, and other such genres along those lines.

    Us Little People
I do realize that sites such as lyrics.com and other corporate lyrics sites have more to offer than this measley lil' site. All I can say is that this site is ran by me, leslie. It is I who emails you, personally, and it is I who manually finds these lyrics and manually types in the code, and manually uploads them for all of you to see. I was in 10th grade, 14 years of age, when I started this thing. It was horrendous, as are most personal sites, but I didn't expect it to turn into anything. I was just paying tribute to the music that I loved.
I never have nor will be paid for this. There aren't any annoying pop-up ads, which means that there is no profit. (Yes, I do realize that angelfire has pop-up ads on the lyrics pages but there is only so much free webspace available). I don't need profit to keep this site running, though. I put it out there for people like me and cannot imagine the day when I have shut down this site for good. Though I'm sure it won't be for a good long time.
In short, unlike those corporate sites who have annoying "wireless x2 camera" ads and who boast about their standings of being on the web for a year, I would like you to remember this little site which not only is non-profit, but also has stood its ground for a good five years.

    Thank You
I have to thank all of the people who somehow manage to find my site, thank you for finding it, visiting, signing the guestbook, or leaving an email. As the recent addition of the comments page, I want you to realize that I do appreciate everything you say, whether good or bad. I also want to thank new and recurring visitors for helping this site to achieve its amazing daily visitor stats.
