| Located in East Lansing, Michigan, MSU is home to two museums, Kresge Art Museum and Michigan State University Museum, a natural and cultural history museum. Both museums offer a wide range of educational, exhibition, and research programs. Campus-based collections of natural and cultural materials also include the W.J. Beal Botanical Garden, Beal-Darlington Herbarium, the Horticultural Demonstration Gardens, the Abrams Planetarium, and the University Archives and Historical Collections. The Michigan State University Library supports an extensive collection of holdings related to museum studies. The greater Lansing area is home to the Michigan Historical Museum, Nokomis American Indian Learning Center, Impression Five Science Center, the Potter Park Zoo, and a variety of other museums, cultural centers, botanical gardens, zoological parks, and collection-holding institutions.
