museum internships
One of the requirements for the specialization in Museum Studies is the completion of a museum internship. Opportunities for internships in collection care, research, education, exhibition development, public programming, and administration activities are available in the Kresge Art Museum and the Michigan State University Museum. In addition, arrangements may be made for internships at other institutions in consultation with the Director of the Museum Studies Program. The internship is usually undertaken after completion of the core curriculum and requires the approval of both the Museum Studies Program Director and the internship supervisor.
