Publishing a journal is a time-consuming, labor-intensive endeavor that requires dedication, perseverance, and commitment. The Michigan State University Journal of Medicine and Law would not exist were it not for the concerted efforts of the many dedicated alumni members who served the publication during the past eight years. To all those who spent perfectly good afternoons in the main library tracking down sources; to all those who gave up nights of sleep to cite-checking; and to all those who stayed awake nights worrying about soliciting authors, setting production schedules, copyediting manuscripts, and preparing contracts, we just want to say "thank you." Your sacrifices have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated, and we hope that you are proud of the current incarnation of the Journal.
