Issues for Graduate Students
DAC – Printer problems
People printing things not related to the courses they teach
Printer/copier only to be used for TA work
Don’t take paper from the copy room to use in CELSR
Also cut down on last minute copying due to crowding at those times
Suggested solutions
Allotment of copies
Clarification and control through ID, number, etc.
As other departments do
Printer etiquette in CELSR
If we use too much toner, we will lose the printer
Bring your own paper
Don’t print materials for TA courses in CELSR
Don’t print entire dissertations or other large printing runs
Watch out for people who are not LIN grad students in CELSR
Don’t prop door open
Put up sign on door – CELSR is not an open computer lab for anyone
General warning about leaving rooms unlocked
Theft happens
If you’re the last one, make sure the door locks behind you
Student crowds in offices
Reserve another room ahead of time if possible
Access to 607?
Need clarification on if we can use this room for groups of students
Website
Make more use of it
Make suggestions on how to make it more useful
Submit information on reading groups, etc. to the webmaster
