In short, Libertarians believe in maximum freedom and minimum government. We believe that you should make the decisions in your life. We want the government to return to its constitutional limits. This would mean an end to gun control laws, and end to the war on drugs, and an end to social security. Rolling back government to its constitutional limits would allow for a complete repeal of the income tax. Libertarians beleive that the government is getting bigger and more intrusive into our lives.While more of our rights are violated everyday the government takes more and more taxes to pay for its bloated and ineffective programs. As our Presidential candidate Harry Browne said, Libertarians want you to keep the money you earn to spend it, save it, or give it away as you see fit, not as Al Gore or George W. Bush think it should be spent.
