Welcome
I
am an assistant professor in the Department
of Political Science at Texas
Tech University. I received my Ph.D. from Michigan
State University in 2003 in International Relations
and Quantitative Methodology. I spent the 2003-2004 academic
year in Oslo at the International
Peace Research Institute in Oslo and began work at the
University of New Orleans in the
fall of 2004. I began work here at Texas Tech University
in the fall of 2007. My research interests have mostly been
focused on the use of economic sanctions. I also have current
projects on investigating the ideological peace between
states with similar regime types, the effect of drug trafficking
on civil conflict, and the relationship between war making
and state building.
