The Ojibwe (or Ojibwa) language, known to its own speakers as Anishinabe or Anishinaabemowin, is an Algonquian tongue spoken by people in the northern U.S. and Canada. Come join us to learn the the language and culture!

Registration Information:
MSU offers two years of Ojibwa:
LL 151, Section 1 - fall
LL 152, Section 1 - spring
LL 251, Section 1 - fall
LL 252, Section 1 - spring

Some semesters, an intensive course in Ojibwe is offerred. Check the course schedule under LL, "Linguistics and Languages".

Students who are not at a beginning level should not register for LL 151. Heritage students with some ability in the language or students with past experience learning Ojibwa should contact the instructor to determine which level is appropriate.
