Pastor Rick Boyd
Rick Boyd began his ministry as Senior Pastor of First Christian Church on July 1, 2002. Before coming to Lansing, Pastor Rick served First Christian Church of Alliance, Ohio, for five years. Previous ministries also include campus ministry at the University of Illinois, community-police dialogue, racial reconciliation study circles, hospital chaplaincy, and resettlement of refugees from Laos, Vietnam, El Salvador, and Guatemala. He trained at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis following graduate work in agricultural economics at the University of Illinois and a history degree from Duke University. Rick's wife, Karen Twyman, is a lactation consultant and has also been a public health nurse and a social worker. They have one daughter, Emma.

KIDMO is a comprehensive program that aims to bring a Biblical worldview to the daily lives of elementary-age children. In addition to a program on Sunday mornings, it continues at 6:30 on Wednesday evenings.
