Q: Who is Kappa Sigma?
A: Gentlemen nationwide construct the strong bonds of brotherhood which unite us as Kappa Sigma members. Some of our famous alumni include musician Jimmy Buffet, Bob Dole, news anchor Sam Donaldson, Nobel prize winner and telescope creator Edward E Hubble, CEO of Intel Craig Barrett, CEO of UPS Michael Eskew, and many more.
Q: When is Recruitment?
A: Recruitment, or rush, happens 365 days a year, 7 days a week. Our major recruitment periods happen during the first few weeks of the fall and spring semesters. Please browse the website or contract us for more information.
Q: Why join Kappa Sigma?
A: Ultimately joining Kappa Sigma brings you friends and family for life. Other activities that you can get involved in as a Kappa Sigma include, but are in no way limited to, camping trips, formal trips, retreats, National Grand Conclave, leadership conferences, chapter yearly homecoming celebration, chapter I.M. Sports Teams, road trips to other chapters, and much more.
Q: How long is the pledge term?
A: 60 days
Q: As a pledge, will I be hazed?
A: Kappa Sigma, nationally and locally is a non-hazing organization. Hazing is not permitted. Any chapters found hazing will be shut down, and any members hazing will be removed. Kappa Sigma has a zero-tolerance policy for hazing.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Member fees vary from each semester to the next, so please contact us for exact amounts. Nationally, Kappa Sigma offers the lowest costing member dues of all fraternities.
