Career Goal:
I am seeking a job working with computer graphics, animation, multimedia
or Virtual Reality. I hope to apply the skills that I have already obtained,
along with the skills I hope to learn on the job.
Educational Background:
1992 - May 1998: Michigan State University-
I will be graduating with a BA in Telecommunication. My cognate
is Calculus based Physical Science. My emphasis area is Digital Media
Arts and Technology.
1989 - 1992: Garber High School, Essexville,
Michigan-
I graduated with honors in the top 10 percent of my class.
Employment Experience:
The M.I.N.D. Lab (May 1997-present)
I did an internship for two semesters at this Virtual Reality lab.
I worked with 3D modeling, animation, VRML and various Virtual Reality
applications. I also learned many concepts in human-computer interface
design. My current job at the lab has constituted a multimedia project
for the Dean of the Communications College, teaching classes to the other
interns and a graduate level class, and maintaining the web page.
Automation Graphics and Design (March
1996 to April 1997)-
I was a Computer Specialist and technical illustrator, designer and
did the layout of technical manuals. I helped design Interactive Electronic
Technical Manuals and Multimedia applications. I was also responsible for
designing and maintaining our web site and other various computer related
jobs.
Lansing Computer Institute (July 1995
to February 1996)-
My responsibilities were making manuals for computer classes and office
work such as filing, typing, mailings, and answering phones.
Video Watch (May
1995 to August 1995)-
RHA Movies (September 1993 to May
1995)-
I was a Customer Service Representative, responsible for selling, checking
out, and filing movies, along with customer relations.
Other jobs I have had include The Gap, McDonald's, many types of office
assistant work and various types of volunteer work.

While attending Michigan State, I have taken many classes in computers
and designand have also learned many software applications on my own or
