What this site is about
This is my personal teaching portfolio. Within this site you will find information about myself, the work i've done and my views on various teaching related issues. More information about myself can be found in the about me section and in my resume (coming soon).
I've included some of the papers I've written for various teaching courses I've taken throughout my college career. For these papers, along with any other original writing or content by myself, I have released them under a creative commons license, specifically the Attribution-NoDerivs-NonCommercial 1.0 license. The reason I do this is that I'm hoping to make this site not just a place to view my works, but also a resource for future teachers. By using such a license, I'm granting others to use my content and ideas without having to bother asking me permission (granted they follow the few restrictions I've put on distribution). Hopefully it will also motivate me to put some useful content on the site. All works that were not made by me are, of course, covered by the original authors copyright.
The other thing you may notice is that this site is coded in XHTML and CSS. These are both standards produced by the W3C for production of web pages. I've chosen these standards over older ones because they allow me to separate content and layout in the code and it also allows me to work on my conformance with accessibility guidelines. Any modern browser should be able to view this site with the layout i've specified, while older browsers that don't support these standards will still show the content, just without my formatting. Feel free to email me any comments or suggestions.
