MSU Repertory Dance

President: Molly Hougland - Molly is an Anthropology senior with a Dance Specialization and a Peace and Justice Studies Specialization. She is from Winchester Massachusetts and has been dancing since she was three years old. Molly has participated in many productions here at MSU, including the 2005 and 2007 Orchesis Dance Concerts, the 2006 MSU Repertory Dance Concert and the 2006 THR 454 Student Dance Concert. This is her second year on the board and she is so excited to serve as the President this year.

Vice President: Mary McGorey - Mary is a Dance Specialization junior majoring in Spanish Education. She discovered her love for dance at age 4 in Monroe, MI. At MSU, Mary has performed in The Repertory Dance Concert, The Choreography Concert, and The Orchesis Student Dance Concert. She has also assisted and taught Orchesis classes. Mary is looking forward to a great year and encourages all dance enthusiasts to become involved with Orchesis!

Special Projects: Marta-Kate Scofield- Marta-Kate is a junior pursuing a Dance Specialization in addition to a major in Retailing. She received her primary education in dance from Glenns' School of Dance in Howell, Mi. There Marta-Kate completed six graded levels of the Cecchetti ballet method as well as participating as a member of the competitive dance company Performing Arts Dance Theatre. While at MSU, Marta-Kate has continued to enjoy many wonderful dance experiences including performances in productions of Carousel, Repertory Dance Company and student dance concerts. She has also taught and assisted past Orchesis Jazz classes and is very excited to continue in sharing her joy of dancing with the MSU community.

Special Projects: Caitlin Quattrone - Caitlin is a senior majoring in Elementary Education with a dance specialization. She was trained at the Pointe Academy of Dance in Troy, MI and returns for alumni concerts. Caitlin started her college dance career by performing in the MSU Department of Theatre’s production of Carousel in 2005 and in the 2005 Orchesis Dance Concert. In 2006 she performed in the MSU Repertory Dance Concert. She also choreographed and performed in the 2006 THR454 Student Dance Concert, and most recently danced in the 2007 Orchesis Dance Concert. Caitlin is extremely excited to serve her first year on the board.

Publicist: Michelle Ryba - Michelle is a dance specialization sophomore in the Lyman-Briggs School with a major in Pre-Medicine. She grew up dancing at Suzanne’s Main Street Dance Centre in Milford, MI where she was also an assistant teacher and a member of the Main Street Dance Company. She has danced for over 14 years, and is certified through grade IV in the Checcetti Ballet Method. Michelle has also performed in the Livonia Civic Ballet Company and in The Moscow Ballet Company’s Great Russian Nutcracker. She has taken Dance Specialization and Orchesis classes here at MSU during her first year and cannot wait to participate in future Orchesis concerts. This is Michelle’s first year on the Orchesis board and she’s excited to be part of spreading Orchesis and dance throughout the campus along with the rest of the board and all the 2007-2008 Orchesis members!

Secretary/Web Design: Diana Obradovich - Diana is a Senior double majoring in Theatre and Business Administration/Pre-Law along with a Dance Specialization and an International Business Specialization. She received her primary dance training at Glenn'sSchool of Dance in Howell, MI where she was a part of the competitive dance company, Performing Arts Dance Theatre. At MSU Diana has been very active in the dance community by being a part of the MSU Repertory Dance Company, performing in student dance concerts, and teaching/assisting in Orchesis dance classes.

Treasurer: Shayna Reedy - Shayna is a junior with a major in Elementary Education, minoring in math and Spanish, along with a dance specialization. She has been dancing since she was three years old and loves every minute of it! She loves being in involed in dance at MSU and has participated in many different productions. She has participated in the 2006 MSU Repertory Dance Concert, the 2006 THR 454 Student Dance Concert, and the 2007 Orchesis Dance Concert. This is Shayna's first year on the board and she is very excited to be the Treasurer!
