I am a fourth year doctoral student in Learning, Technology, and Culture at Michigan State University.

I am interested in creating multimedia learning environments that will promote understanding, creativity, and flexible thinking.

 

My goal is teach at at the university level and pursue a research program that promotes the use of flexible learning environments in K-12 schools.

My current work at Michigan State, in partnership with Rand Spiro, is focused on creating a learning environment that will promote historical understanding and flexible thinking in grades 6-12 social studies classrooms.
