Russell Daubert
Chime & Carillon Performer

Russell Daubert in 1929      Russell Daubert was an athletic trainer and coach (freshman swimming) in the college's Athletic Department who first had the task of playing the tower chime (later a carillon), starting in 1929.

Lacking formal training he was only able to play the most simple of melodies on the instrument.

In 1941, upon transfer of control of the tower and carillon from the Athletic Department to the School of Music, Wendell Westcott began his career of performances on the instrument.
