Mrs. Lisa Lonie has been the carillonneuse at the Schneider
Memorial Carillon at Trinity Church in Holland, PA since 1984.
She began her carillon studies with Frank Law, former carillonneur
at the Washington Carillon at Valley Forge, PA and continued
with Frank DellaPenna, Mr. Law's successor at Valley Forge. After
completing the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America (GCNA)
advancement exam in 1989, she has traveled throughout the U.S.,
Germany, Canada and The Netherlands. Along with GCNA
President, Jeff Davis, she performed at the 1996 World Carillon
Congress held in Aschaffenburg, Germany. She has also played for
several national congresses of the GCNA, as well as serving as a
juror on the Student Examinations Committee of that organization.
She also is one of the featured recitalists on the CD recording,
Princeton Carillon, Class of 1892.
Lisa studied piano with Nancy Turner of the Settlement Music
School, Philadelphia and is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State
University with degrees in German and Economics. She currently
lives in an historical suburb of Philadelphia County and works for
the President of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
