John Widmann
Visiting Performer
     John Widmann is the Director of Music at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Myersville, Maryland. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor's degree in Organ and Voice, where he studied organ with Carol Teti.

     Mr. Widmann is also the City Carillonneur for the City of Frederick, Maryland, and recently passed his Guild of Carillonneurs in North America (GCNA) advancement recital, becoming a Full-Carillonneur Member of the GCNA. The City of Frederick completed a full renovation of the carillon, expanding it to 49 bells in 1995. Mr. Widmann consulted on the specifications of this project.

     Mr. Widmann also is a member of the American Guild of Organists, and Treasurer of the Central Maryland Chapter (Frederick, Maryland). He lives in Frederick, Maryland with his wife, Diane, and sons Hans and Martin.
