Ann-Kristine Christiansen

     Ann-Kristine Christiansen, born in 1965, graduated as cantor and church organist in 1990 after studying six years at the Danish Music Conservatory ("Det Fynske Musikkonservatorium") at Odense. Since 1991 she has been organist and choirmaster at Braband and Sdr. Årslev churches.

     From 1991 until 1995 she studied at The Scandinavian Carillon School in Løgumkloster where she completed her diploma with the title Maître Carillonneur. In 1996 she began teaching at The Scandanavian Carillon School and continued her studies with Maître Carillonneur Peter Langberg. Her October 1997 debut on the carillon of Vejle Sct. Nicolai Church distinguishes her as the first carillonneur who has debuted as a soloist on bells in Scandinavia.

     In 1998 she was appointed Director of The Scandinavian Carillon School and with this appointment became the concert-administrator of the two city hall towers in Denmark which have a carillon --- in Copenhagen (Frederiksberg) and in Århus. In 1999 she was elected president of NSCK (Nordic Society of Campanology and Carillon).

     She has performed concerts in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Lithuania, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, the USA and Canada.
