The Focus of the ALL
The Artificial Language Laboratory (ALL) is an interdisciplinary research
and teaching center established within the Department of Audiology and Speech
Sciences at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan.
The ALL is dedicated to serving the needs of persons who experience severe
communication handicaps due to neurological, sensory, or motoric conditions.
These include persons who cannot speak and/or write or access printed materials.
The ALL offers services to people with such conditions as visual and hearing
impairment, cerebral palsy, stroke, closed head injury, multiple sclerosis,
and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
