The Wendy's Extra Value Menu.  There is some good stuff on there for cheap.  And most of it's good.  I'm also a big fan of the Wendy's Mandarin Chicken Salad.  Also good stuff.

Elmore Leonard.  He wrote Out Of Sight and Rum Punch (aka Jackie Brown)  I'm reading one of his newer books Pagan Babies.  It's really good.  If it's going to be a movie, I can totally see Jason Lee in the lead role.

Insomniac With Dave Attell.
Sometimes his stand up stuff is funny, sometimes it's not, but this show is one of the best things I've seen on TV in a while.

The nearby demise of teen pop.  It's coming, I can feel it.  Some acts will survive of course, take Bon Jovi, for example. They survived The hair band thing.  So I can see Christina and N*Sync surviving. But I think in about five years, people will be embarassed to say the own Backstreet's "black and Blue".  Why do I think it's almost over?  N*Sync & Backstreet's last albums didn't do well at all.  Even cutie Mandy Moore is dying even when MTV is giving her tons of support.  Bring on the singer/songwriters!!!

"Memento".  See it.  It's one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.  Just really well done.

1)"Ed" Wednesday night on NBC at 8pm.  it's a great show.  If you liked "northern exposure", then you'll like Ed.  The great thing about it is unlike the last couple of hour long TV shows I started watching "ER", "West Wing".. ED is about ED.  The writers never try to sneak in any messages about child abuse or deal with abortion.  It's about a Lawyer/Owner of "Stuckybowl" in a town in upstate New York called "Stuckyville".  Ed is always trying to hook up with a girl that he had a crush on.  It usally doesn't work out, but it's always light-hearted and fun.  Even the Law part of the show is much more tolerable than like a "Law & Order" or even an "Ally McBeal"  he takes on funny quirky cases.  It is all that is good about TV: Nice Characters who do goofy stuff.

2) U2.  well duh, i'm a U2 fan, but man ya really got to hand it to these guys.  they're nominated for the grammys, they've got a practically sold out US tour lined up and a really kick ass new album.

3) The Gin Blossoms.  Rememeber those guys.  I miss 'em.  that's all.

2) Chrisina Aguleria.  For those of you who know me well, you may roll your eyes.....now!  Ok, for the rest of you, I have a HUGE crush on this girl.  WHY?

• she has the best voice of any of the so-called "teen pop diva", more spefically she CAN sing, whereas Britany Spears CANNOT.  she has great vocal range.
• She can dance.
• Ok, let's admit it, she's hot.  And here's a brief analysis of her hotness:  While a lot of girls complain about how skinny Christina is, I maintain that this is simply a matter of metabolism- she is a small person.  NOT annorexic or belemic.  I have never found the gaunt, herroine sheik look attractive.  Christina differs from Brittany on this point.  When you look at Brittany, you can tell in about 10-15 years she is gonna get pretty beefy.  The other thing is that while Christina does look considerable more "made-up" than Brittany, Mandy, Jessica..it fits her more.  Britanny is a country bumpkin, one step up from LeAnne Rymes.  She has a big noes, look at her, the only time Britanny really looks good is thanks to lighting and soft focus.  Next, there is the way she uses her sexuality.  (see next bullet)
• sexuality.  Britanny hints at "naughty-ness" christina flaunts it.  Britanny's initial success comes from showing her mid-rift.  Christina threw down the gauntles and added to the mid-rift the all important LOW RIDING PANTS!  Britanny is a good girl who likes to pretend she's bad.  Christina is a tease, and does it well.
• OK, this one is serious.  Mark my words, Christina will be around longer because she is (don't laugh) Latin.  Ok, offically she's 1/4 Equadorian, but she can sing in Spanish, and when the whole teen dance pop thing dies as it surely must eventually, Christina will always be able to tap into the Latin market.

Chicks with thick rimmed glasses. Ok, granted they have to be hot, and the glasses make them hotter.  I just like the idea of a smart chick, who just happens to be well, hot.

burnin' CDs.  yep Mr. Ulrich, you heard me right.  I like to STEAL music from Napster.  I don't think of it as sharing, I like to think of it more as going over to LARS ULRICH'S house and breaking the window's open, waking lars up at night, next to his beautiful wife and pointing a crossbow at his head, and saying hey' gimme all of your artistic liscence and some money, too.  Even though I don't actually listen to, or download any Mettalica, I just like the idea of robbing and stealing from lars. anywho- i like the idea that what ever albums that I want, but am too poor to buy, i can just go click on that little blue dude with the head phones, and in a half an hour my CD collection will have grown by one more disc.
