UUWF WOMENS FELLOWSHIP
This group meets monthly at noon on the third Thursday of each
month, each member bringing their own sandwich and ready to discuss issues of current
interest. They take turns hosting the event at their homes and providing beverages and
dessert. The group holds an annual spring luncheon as well as the annual Christmas cooke
sale, with proceeds benefiting the church.

MEN'S
GROUP Here's an opportunity for just guys to get together to discuss what's on their minds.
Tackle some of life's great mysteries, or maybe just the small ones. They meet the second
and fourth Sundays of each month at 7 p.m., usually at the church. For more information,
contact Bob Hopp.
Women's Investment Group This group follows the stock market and invests as a group. The primary goal is
educating each other---you don't need to be a financial wizard to enjoy this activitiy.
They meet the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Contact Joan Kempter
for more information.
CIRCLE SUPPERS The second Saturday of every
month at 7 p.m., small group (8-10 people) potluch suppers at members' homes provide a
great way to get better acquainted on an informal basis---our church family has a rich
variety of cultural, spiritual, ethnic, and work-related backgrounds. Sign up at the
Activities Table. (You do NOT need to host such an event to be welcome as a
participant--just be ready to prepare a delicious or zany dish to share)! For information,
contact Diane Nichol.
UU BIKERS For fun and camaraderie, join
the UU Bikers. They're an informal group who ride about once per month, May - October.
Rides are 10-20 miles in length at a leisurely pace (no one left behind), and frequently
involve food. For more information, contact Bob Lovell.

group, book group, etc.) are willing to be an usher/greeter and/or substitute in the

LITURGISTS NEEDED
The Minister and the Celebrations Committee would like to know if you are
interested in reading in a service. If youd be willing to be given text to read in
church Sunday (you usually get it by e-mail two days prior), please call the church office
at 351-4081, ext. 2# or email office@uulansing.org
and ask to add your name to our list of possible liturgists. Worship is better with more
voices!
LEARN TO BE A SOUND TECHNICIAN I invite you to consider becoming a sound technician for our Sunday morning worship
services. The sound tech plays a critical role in creating a pleasant, high quality, and
accessible experience for those attending worship. The church has several skilled and
dedicated sound technicians now, but we are in need of additional people who are willing
to be trained and have their names added to the roster of available technicians.
Training will take place in an approximately two-hour session (time: TBA). Following
that you will work on a few Sunday mornings with an experienced technician as you become
familiar with our sound system.
I see this as a wonderful opportunity to gain a new set of skills while serving the church
in a vitally important way. It might be an ideal service project for a high school student
- and adults are, of course, welcome as well! Give me a call for more information
