Bill Miller is looking for stories from Indians fans. He's writing a book about the teams that have been diappointed by the Yankees through the years. There has been much written about the success of the Yankees, but little attention to the hearts of fans across the country that have been broken by this perennial success. Send Bill your heartbreaking stories to be a part of the book he plans to complete in Spring 2002. The years he's looking at specifically for the Indians are 1926, 1952, 1955 and 1998, but any story about any year in the Yanks-Tribe rivalry is okay.

Recently I was featured in an on-line article about baseball curses in the Marquette Tribune.

Ever wonder how much these guys make? ESPN has listed all the player's salaries (from 2001 season).

How does the Jake compare with other ballparks around the league? You'll like this!

My Team "I Wish to Witness..."

Winning the World Series!!!

My Player "I Wish to Witness..."

Jim Thome or Russel Branyan hitting for the cycle

Kenny Lofton stealing home (I know he's done it, I just haven't SEEN it!)

Omar Vizquel making an unassisted triple play (Is this even possible for a shortstop...?)

Bartolo Colon pitching a perfect game

Other Tribe Fans "Wish to Witness..."

 Pat Borders playing everyday.

Jaret Wright winning all the time. (especially beating the Yankees), not just when I see him on TV. Emily, Red Sox fan (from CT)

Back to back homers in a game I attend. Tommy (from Cleveland)

A ball hit to Travis Fryman, he steps on the base, thorws to the shortstop, who throws to first--triple play! Paul

A 20 win season for Charles Nagy; Carlos Baerga as an every day player; a batting title for Omar Vizquel; another 40 homer season and MVP for Jim Thome; and Rookie of the Year for Russell Branyan. Mark

What do you wish for the team?

Do you remember when?

I've been a Tribe fan for a long time. When I first remember getting REALLY excited about Tribe baseball was when I was 12 years old in 1986. That was expected to be THE YEAR! We were going to finish SOMEPLACE OTHER THAN THE BASEMENT! (And remember, that was when we only had two divisions...so the basement was a lot lower). The team included Joe Carter, Tony Bernazard, Julio Franco, Brook Jacoby, Cory Snyder, Brett Butler, Mel Hall, and pitchers Tom Candiotti, Scott Bailes, Ernie Camacho, and others.

Gregory (from Alliance, OH) shares his memories.
