This was a variant published by Avalon Hill in their Jan/Feb 1975 issue of The General magazine. It postulates a battle in 1704 between The Franco-Spanish alliance and the English-Dutch-German Grand Alliance. It is part of the War of the Spanish Succession and takes place on the old familiar WATERLOO map!
This is a copy of the three-page article, and a new computer generated set of full color counters (the originals were printed in a less attractive blue/grey two tone). The different nationalities have been given unique print/background color combinations; you will need to mount and cut them out.
So if the original Waterloo is gathering dust in your game
room, bring out the old classic and try this variant. It costs $3.00 which
includes shipping in the US.

The detail at left shows a French/Belgian/Spanish-Netherlands contingent (that's right, appraoching from the North!) getting ready to defend against the British/German/Dutch force (coming up from the South). I glued the countersheet to posterboard with spray adhesive, then cut them out with a good pair of craft scissors. You will have to do your own glueing and cutting! The Waterloo map is NOT included; you will need the original game to play.
