Hello! We would like to thank you for your participation in the survey that we conducted in August and September. We would like to share with you the results of our 11 interviews.

Overall, there was an overwhelmingly positive feeling the group of you expressed about living on this block. All of you talked about the friendly, caring neighbors and how you watch out for and help each other. In every case, you mentioned people when asked what contributes most to your sense of community on this block.

The best thing about this block: There is a definite feeling of connection to this block; most of you have lived here for a long time and therefore know your neighbors quite well.
 

Most of you felt that there was not much that needs changing on this block, but 91% of you said you would be interested in working with your neighbors to improve conditions. This level of interest is a sign that if an issue arises that needs attention, you will be able to work on it together.

We are happy we had the opportunity to talk to those of you who participated in this survey. We found the sense of community on this block to be exceptionally strong and feel that it is a good model for the rest of Lansing.
