Half Looking

Four women from distinctly different backgrounds came together two years ago to create the same unique groove--Half Looking.  Half Looking has invented a truly fresh sound.   Original, soul-stirring lyrics join edgy, driving melodies for an unforgettable fusion of folk, punk, blues and jazz.  Compared to groups like the Indigo Girls and R.E.M., their stage performance is dynamic and rock solid.

Half Looking has played all over Michigan, packing venues like East Lansing's Small Planet and Detroit's Berkeley Front.  They've opened for Ubaka Hill, headlined special events like "Summer Muses", and played benefits for groups like Amnesty International and Council Against Domestic Assault.  With a dedicated fan base that keeps growing, the foursome plans to venture out of Michigan this summer with a new CD, "Butterfly on Fire".
