Youth Club:

"You are a child of God and I will treat you that way." This is what we live by during our mid-week program. Youth Club is an opportunity for all youth and adults to come together and be able to nourish one another in their Christian faith. There are four components that each youth participant experiences: Bible study, dinner time, worship skills and recreation. Bible study is a time when each spiritual need is nourished with the word of God. Dinner is served family style. Adults are present at every table, serving as "parents" to help build community among themselves. Worship skills is an opportunity for children to share their gifts and talents with our community. Gifts such as playing hand chimes, singing and reading scripture are incorporated into the worship services on Sunday mornings. Recreation is an exploding time of non-competitive games. A time for all to re-create themselves and others and no one’s expense.

We currently have 30-40 adults volunteering on a given night, and 25-30 youth involved in the program. Our program continues to grow and we are always excited to see a new face.

Youth Mission Projects:

30 Hour Famine:

33,000 children die every day from starvation. Every year, we participate in the 30 Hour Famine along with many others all over the United States. For 30 hours we fast from food so that we may experience a small portion of what it is like to be hungry. Our time is filled with Bible studies, fellowship and community service projects. 100% of the donations we receive goes to fight hunger in areas stricken with famine.

CROP Walk:

Early in October, participants gather to walk for hunger. Money raised by CROP walks nationwide is used by church World Service to provide food, medical care, disaster relief, and self-help development efforts for needy people throughout the world. The walk is a 10K and begins in the early afternoon.
